Its location, near I-60 and several cherished Williamsburg attractions, combined with a friendly staff and a host of essential amenities, makes it a compelling choice for families, solo travelers, and groups alike. The staff was AMAZING, the smiled from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. They were helpful and accommodating in every way. The Breakfast is good for a hotel, they have several options and the menu is posted up for the week. Rooms were a little smaller than what we are used to, but they were clean and comfy. Thank you for an amazing stay!!!
EXCELLENT front desk staff, take the level of this hotel up a notch. Fairly basic rooms, but clean and functional. Good location with easy access to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. We were there with a soccer team for a tournament and they handled our needs well. The staff were especially friendly and personable and created a feeling like a B&B by showing sincere interest in each guest. It was the difference between an impersonal, adequate stay and feeling like the hotel was home base during our stay.
The service was friendly and and courteous. The breakfast is good, but get there before 7:30 if you want enough of it, especially on days closer to the weekend. The pool was a good cool temperature and in great repair, and the hot tub was WAY better than you’d think for such a low room rate. The rooms themselves are clean, and the bedding very fresh. Some furniture is worn but nothing was falling apart. Only two complaints: the microwave locked its own keypad and wouldn’t let you heat anything up after the first use. The mattress on my bed was the stiffest thing I’ve ever laid on (the one my kids used was better so I let them have that one). Plus side, It is right next to a number of great restaurants and cafes, and was only a traffic free 15 minute drive from most of the sights each morning.
Good hotel choice in area for the price... But, breakfast was inconsistent in offerings. Rooms need more or bigger pillows, beds are very firm (lacks support for bad back). Overall it was a clean and nice place but rooms were slightly dated. The front desk associates tried very hard to accommodate my odd requests and gave wonderful restaurant recommendations. On our last day all 4 of our (2 rooms) room keys stopped working and guy at front desk (only saw him that one day, out of 3 day stay) didn't act like he cared much when I questioned why they weren't working if we had our do not disturb tags out (housekeeping shouldn't have been in there)... but later discovered those keys might need recode after 3 days... he didn't explain that (had to research it), but made me uncomfortable at the time. I would recommend the hotel, but just forewarned visitors that it's not a 5-star place, but very good value for your money and close to the Busch gardens and historic part of Williamsburg.
It's fine! Five stars given the price point; I don't want to deprive the employees of their hard-earned good reviews just because it isn't a more upscale hotel. It's affordable, there's free breakfast, the employees are nice, there's a pool, it's close to Busch Gardens. That's all I want, it's perfect for my needs and budget. My only warning is that we honestly had a SUPER difficult time with our key card, they're really easy to demagnetize if you aren't careful about what pocket you put it in. The front desk is super great about fixing it but save yourself the hassle and be cautious with them.
I had a very pleasant experience here. I stayed for one night. The hot breakfast was tasty and well cooked. Andrea The receptionist and the staff were friendly and efficient. Thr common areas are tastefully decorated and the whole building was very clean. Great quality for the low price!
The hotel was decent overall, but the rooms definitely needed updating. The beds were comfortable and clean, there was a nice indoor pool and hot tub, and it was a good location not too far from Busch Gardens. The main complaint was that the room and bathroom were a little old, and there was a loud noise from the fridge that made it a little challenging to sleep.
Just stayed in 2 bed room there. The room was clean and the staff was excellent. Can’t name them all but they were accommodating and friendly. Anytime I needed anything they were right on top of it. No attitude at all. My kids loved the pool but I can see it is hard to maintain. You can’t beat the price and the location. A lot of breakfast options as well. The cool staff were extremely nice and helpful. Overall it was a great stay and I will stay there again.
